Introduction: MIFT Product Innovation Award (PIA)
The MIFT Product Innovation Award (PIA) is a competition held every two years by the Malaysian Institute of Food Technology (MIFT). It was formerly called the Best Product Award but was renamed in 2009 to focus on product innovation.
The award recognizes outstanding food products made by Malaysian food processors and manufacturers. Winners are allowed to use the award logo on their product packaging and advertisements, which highlights their achievement in creating innovative food products.
MIFT hopes the award will inspire local food businesses to keep innovating and improving their products. It also encourages growth in food science and technology in Malaysia and the region. Winning the award helps manufacturers stand out in the market and showcases their success in food innovation.
